I am replacing the alternator on my 1994 Mazda MX6. I have got the alternator unbolted but I can not remove the alternator through-bolt because it hits the bulkhead. Is there a method to remove bolt?
You don't need to remove the bolt. The mounting bracket is slotted so that you only need to withdraw the bolt a small way and then pull the alternator and the bolt will come out through the slot.

Hi there , I have just changed the pressure sensor switch on my MX6 , it is located fairly centrally on the engine facing the radiator.There is a small wire that is routed across the alternator so it can be found by tracing that .I had to change the alternator and broke this by accident , you might have to remove the alternator to get to it first depending on the size of your hands and arms ,Mazda has the replacement parts and can be bought for a few pounds .Hope its helpful !!
