The hood rod holders are held in place with rivets. You can remove the rivets with a small grinder. When the rivets are removed the fastener will come off.
Open the hood and remove the plastic trim fasteners along the top then detach the grille assembly by pulling upward
It is located under the hood on the firewall. If you open the hood and look just below the windshield you will see a black plastic cover with 3 fasteners. Turn the three fasteners and they will pop up pull off the cover and remove the filter replace and reinstall the cover.
On the 2004 Altima, the ECM is located under the hood. It is located around the under-hood relay and fuse box.
1) Open hood 2) Back off bolts holding fastening bar 3) Loosen positive and negative fasteners to battery 4) remove battery
First you have to pop the hood, then look for the EGR valve. Once it is located, remove it and replace it with the new one. When finished, close the hood and you're good to go.
Under the black plastic just below the windshield, two of the fasteners will have to be undone before you open the hood, then there's more after you open the hood, remove plastic cover and the filter is right there. Good luck.

there are 4 screws that fasten the headlight assembly, 2 on top that are visible when the hood in open, and 2 on the bottom that cannot be seen at this point. Start by disconnecting the hood latch pull form the latch assy. next remove the grille to expose 5 fasteners that hold the bumper cover. there are 2 more behind the lower bumper air inlets(left and right side, 1 each). next there are 4 fasteners in each wheel opening (front portion) that go into the bumper cover, now you can remove the bumper cover and expose the 2 headlight lower fasteners.
No some are inside the car. On the drivers side on the left under the stearing wheel there should be a little coin holder. Remove the holder - the additional fuses are behind it.
