1. Jack your car up and put on stands. 2. Remove the front bumper. 3. Now you got access to the headlight assembly. Pretty straight forward. Since you can see all the bolts holding the headlights to the front.

To replace a headlight on a 2002 Honda Civic first prop the hood open. Locate the headlight housing inside the engine compartment. Find the bulbs and remove them. Install the new bulbs.
You have to remove the transmission from the engine to access the clutch, remove the old, replace with new, and reset (turn) the flywheel. Something most mech. will replace for $300-$500.
Removing the transmission on a 1998 Honda Civic takes time as it engine will need to be remove as well. The engine mounts will need to be removed, coolant drained, hoses removed and shift linkage removed. When everything is properly loosened, using an engine hoist, lift the motor out. Disconnect the transmission from the engine and replace the unit.

The 1983 civic, hatchback with 1.5 engine does not have one.
My manual doesn't cover this, the best they have is the steering gear removal. Do I actually have to remove this or can I replace the bad rod through the engine compartment, by removing the air box to get some room.
you take it off
The fuel filter is on the passenger side of the engine. Open your gas cap before disconnecting the two fuel line. Loosen and remove the two fuel line fittings, then remove the bolt holding the clamp to remove the filter. Replace the filter using new washers. Check for leaks with the engine running.
remove bolts and clip. Then remove oil dipstick tube.
To replace the AC clutch discharge the freon, remove the clips, and remove the screws under the bumper. Remove the driver side headlight, and bolts.
