To unplug the battery:
Once the cover is off you'll see the wires from the battery to the plug. Very very gently and patiently grab the wires close to the plug and ease it out by wiggling it side to side, gently. The plug will slide out towards the direction of the wires (in the direction of pulling the wires but do not pull them otherwise they will break. It may take a minute because the connection will probably be stubborn. Once its a bit loose it'll come right on out as you wiggle. If its really stubborn (IT WILL BE) slide your thumb nail under the head of the plug between the plug and outlet (opposite to the wires entrance to the plug) and ease it loose a bit, then use the long side of a metal nail file and coaxed it until it slides out.
Once unplugged replug your battery by sliding the plug back into the outlet.
Its always good to back up your information before doing any work. This process should not erase any information on your novel because its on the internal SD card.
To remove the battery:
According to others, the Pandigital battery is not removable but some people say that it is. According to other opinions (I have not done it) you need to prank it carefully until it comes out. You won find any locks or clips, etc. Just be VERY VERY careful so you do not break the cover or anything else while pulling it out. Check other opinions before you do it.

I dont think the pandigital novel is going to tell you how to do that. but you cant just take a video link and put it straight into your pandigital novel. It wont work that way (unless you have wifi on your pandigital novel). but I know how to do it. first you must connect the pandigital novel to your computer and register it on your computer. but if you did that already then go to the website: WWW.Videocenneti.com. that webside lets you covert youtbue videos to mp4 videos since you can only download mp4 videos to pandigital novel. then you can paste a youtube video link in the thingy and click on the "download" button and wait. If its taking more than 6 seconds to load it means your not using a video from youtube. if it loads quickly then click on the "download mp4" button and save it. and then wait for it to download. it may take a minute. you can download more than one video at the same time. and then when its done downloading you can send it to your pandigital novel, or one of its folders. keep in mind though that you can only download videos that are from youtube.

Try the reset pin hole on top Must have a different device as the Pandigital novel does not have a reset hole, at least one visible to the naked eye. The top has a slot for a card and a usb port. The manual does not describe a reset hole
