Take off the negative terminal and tape it up so it will not reconnect by mistake. Then remove the 3 bolts holding down the computer. Pull all 5 plugs off the computer they are color coded so you cant mix them up. Take the plastic tank out by removing the 3 bolts out that hold it down ans just put it aside. Remove the 5 screws that hold the fan down. Do the bottom one first its harder to reach but if you lay flat on the motor you can see it. If you take the easy ones first this is very hard to do but if you do the hard one first its easy to keep the socket on it. Then take the others out and pull the plug and take off the hose that feeds air to it (the Fan). Remove the motor. WARNING before you try this change the resistor set first its easier to reach and its cheaper. I did this job only to find it was the resister and not the blower. Reverse this procedure to put it back in. Good luck. Took me 2 hrs to do it.
Well I Know you must remove the glovebox and ashtray assembly and then you can see the housing but that's as far as I got.
Remove the wiring harness from the 1996 Chevy Cavalier blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the blower motor fan. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.

Remove the glove box then the four (4) hex screws on the blower motor cover. Then remove the mounting screws for the blower motor and set it down on the floor - it should have enough length in the wiring. Disconnect the the wiring connector them remove the rubber grommet and wiring harness through the blower housing. Installation is the reverse of removal. Good luck!
