Remove the wheels from your 1995 Toyota Camry. Remove the brake pads by removing the brake pad Springs. Tap on the brake drum with a hammer or mallet. Slide the brake drums off. Reverse the process to install the new brake drums and shoes.
first you have to take the wheels off of the van,and then you have to take the tension off of the brake shoes. Next you will be able to remove the rear brake drums off of the vehicle. You may have to tap them with a hammer to break them free.
It is inside the rear brake drums. It is the part that pushes the brake shoes out against the drum.It is inside the rear brake drums. It is the part that pushes the brake shoes out against the drum.
Remove the wheel and tap the drums at back with a 'deadblow' hammer, rotating the drum as you do this. The brake shoes tend to hold drums on.
Back off the brake shoes then remove the wheel and tire then pull the drum off If its a 3/4 ton back off the shoes, removve wheel and tire ,then remove plate on hub ,then remove hub nuts then remove hub [brake drum]

Remove wheels Remove drums (Make sure parking brake is released Loosen and remove brake lines Remove mounting bolts Slide wheel cylinder out (may have to separate brake shoes slightly) Re-install new cylinders and Bleed new cylinders
first make sure parking ( aka emergancy) brake is off (handle down). then loosen off your shoes by removing the little piece of rubber (its about an inch long) on the back of the wheel. this will allow you access to the starwheel which you turn with a flathead screwdriver in order to loosen the shoes on the inside. it should now be easy to remove the drums
Sometimes the rear drums rust to the shoes and lock them up especially if the car has been setting with the parking brake on. You probably will have to take the wheels off then hit the drums with a hammer to break them loose from the shoes. Remove the drums and sand the shoes and drums. These cars are notorious for rear disk brake calipers freezing. I think it was even recalled for this. Check to see if you have rear disk brakes, if you do then most likely it's the calipers. You can buy remanufactured calipers from any parts store. some times rocking the car back and forth get it free but DONT drag the car can really mess it up trust me i did it.
Sounds like the springs or spring that pulls the shoes back in after the brakes are released are broken. Therefore the shoes are hung in the drums and the wheel is locked up. DRUM BRAKES ONLY.Disc brakes---- Caliper piston frozen are brake line bad / came apart inside. These 2 things will lock brake up.
