use two small flat screwdrivers to push the white plastic release ring in. Then pull the line out.
First, check under the truck to see if it is the hose itself or the little copper washer between the hose and the slave cylinder that leaks. if it`s leaking from the front of the cylinder, change the cylinder. First you need to remove a little plate on the side of the transmission to be able to see inside the transmission when you will insert the cylinder pin back in the fork. you need a 14mm deep socket to remove the cylinder (2)bolts and a 5/8 wrench to remove the hose. remove the hose first.
This is a quick release and needs a clutch coupling removal tube T88T-70522-A or equivalent. Slide the sleeve toward the slave cylinder while pulling the tube away from the slave cylinder.
How to I remove the heater core hose from my 1998 Mazda MPV from the motor. The hose is hidden from view. Can't get a tool or my hands inside the small space to remove the clip. Can you help me?
On a 1989 Honda Prelude, the clutch hose is typically located between the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder. The master cylinder is mounted on the firewall in the engine bay, while the slave cylinder is located on the transmission. The hose runs along the chassis, connecting these two components to facilitate hydraulic fluid transfer for clutch operation. Always refer to a service manual for precise locations and diagrams.
Remove the clevis pin from the pedal the remove the master cyl from the bulkhead A quick way to test the cylinder is clamp the flexible hose that leads to the slave cylinder when the hose is clamped, the clutch pedal should be solid.
The modulator is located just above the starter on the side of the transmission, it has a vacuum hose attached to it. The solenoid is located in the transmission, you have to remove the transmission pan to remove it.
1. Drain the cooling system. 2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. 3. Remove the plastic rivet retainers and the air deflector from the vehicle. 4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator. 5. Disconnect the overflow hose from the radiator.Remove the fan and fan clutch from the water pump pulley. 6. Remove the bolts and lift the fan shroud, and fan and fan clutch from the vehicle. 7. Raise the vehicle. 8. Remove the underbody splash shield, if so equipped. 9. Compress the clamps and slide away from the radiator. Twist the transmission oil cooler hoses and remove from the radiator. 10. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator. 11. Lower the vehicle. 12. Remove the bolts retaining the support brackets to the radiator support. Lift the radiator support brackets upwards and away from the radiator. 13. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
I dont know about changing the clutch, but I can tell you that they are adjustable! I just had mine adjusted! I pulled the engine, had no vehicle hoist so lifted the engine out. Worked real well as all the clutch parts are in front of you while engine is in the air; except throughout bearing. It is much easier to remove the transfer case and tranmission, rather than removing the engine. Here is the procedure: Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove shift control lever Remove console box, then console box bracket. Push gear shift control case cover down with fingers, then turn it clockwise, and remove shift control lever, Remove shift control lever following the same procedure. Remove transfer case shift control knob. Remove breather hose from attaching clamp at the rear of the engine cylinder head. Remove wiring harness clamp from the rear of intake manifold, then disconnect wiring harness connector. Remove starter, then engine to transmission retaining bolts. Drain oil from transmission and transfer case if front propeller shaft is to be removed or transmission serviced. Remove flange bolts from rear propeller shaft universal joint, then pull out rear propeller shaft. Remove flange bolts from front propeller shaft universal joint, then remove front propeller shaft. Remove clutch cable from clutch cable mechanism, then clutch housing lower plate. Remove center exhaust pipe assembly, then remove speedometer cable from transfer case. Place a suitable transmission jack under the transmission, then remove rear engine crossmember, Remove transmission/ transfer case assembly. Then remove transmission wiring harness and breather hose if necessary. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten universal joint flange bolts to specifications. Tighten transmission to engine attaching bolts to specifications.
Remove the lower radiator hose.
It took me about 1.5 hours to do. I have a 92 pathfinder 4 x 4. I first took a little coolant out of the radiator so I could remove the upper radiator hose. With the hose removed I took out the fan shroud. After that you will remove four bolts that hold the fan clutch to the water pump. Remove the fan off of the fan clutch and put on the new fan clutch. Put everything back together in reverse order.
Have some one pump clutch pedal and hold to floor, open bleeder valve on slave cylinder, its bolted to transmission,it has 2 bolts holding it on to transmission with clutch line screwed into it,have clear hose connected to end of bleeder valve and other end of hose in glass container, watch to see when air is no longer coming out of bleeder hose, you may have to pump and open a few times till air is gone.
the vent is located on the top of the transmission. it is very tough to get to unless you remove the transmission from the vehicle. however, if you remove the crossmember and the mount, you mayh be able to lower the transmission enough to replace the hose. it is no more than a small rubber hose. Typically though, one should never need to be cleaned. very rarely does one ever even leak unless there is a problem inside of the transmission.
