PCV= Positive Crankcase Ventilation.It will be in the cylinder head cover.
To remove the cylinder head on an Astra 1.7 CDTI, disconnect the battery cable and remove the lower engine cover. Drain the cooling system and remove the oil filter. Remove the air filter hoses and disconnect the crank case breather hose from the valve cover.
when u buy a head gasket for the car usually the toque settings or on a piece of paper in the packet
You cannot get a spark after a head gasket was done on Vauxhall Astra 2.2 because the battery discharged.
check your coolant levels & if car overheating, might well be the cylinder head gasket is away.

On an engine with two inlet valves per cylinder it means that there are two ports in the cylinder head and inlet manifold for each cylinder. (IE one for each valve.) Port refers to the passage that air/fuel enters the cylinder through. Older designs had one port in the manifold & head leading to the two valves.
