the drivers side (RHD) window on my 2005 Pathfinder ST (R51) jump out of its' track and this was my experience. took about 45 mintues and required a small (jewler's type) standard screwdriver, a #2/3 Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm nut driver or socket to do the trick.

1. remove the two plastic covers behind the door handle. a small standard screwdriver will do the trick. there is a Phillips screw (10mm) behind the front plastic cover that has to be removed.

2. remove the arm rest by popping out the bottom back corner first then work the clips out from the top. there are 2 Phillips screws here that need to be removed.

3. remove the window controls. you have to pry up the bottom first with a small standard screwdriver as the front retainer clip won't let you do it any other way. the window controls plug needs to be removed by the same small standard screwdriver pushing on the retainer clip while pulling out on the plug.

4. start in the bottom back corner of the door panel and gently pry out to release the plastic retainer clips from the door frame (note: there is a notch about 2/3 along the bottom of the panel that is a good starting point). be very gentle here as these clips are easily broken, steady even pressure will make the pop out. first work up to the window along the rear of the door, there are 3 clips here. next work along the bottom to pull out the bottom 2 clips and then up the front of the door for the remaining 2 clips.

5. lift up and out on the bottom and the door panel should easily come right off exposing the speaker and plastic barrier to the door cavity.

**if you are replacing the speakers, this is where you stop, but if you need to put the window back in its' track or replace a broken window read on.

6. remove the plastic sheeting from the door frame, the sealant will allow you to put the cover back on when finished

7. raise or lower the window just up from the bottom to expose the 2 holding screws (brass colored Phillips type, 10mm nut driver works best). if you drop the front screw down into the door cavity a magnetized screw driver will be a great help.

8. once these are removed the window can be taken off its' track and removed or manuevered into position

9. be cautious replacing these two brass screws as they are easily cross threaded and will strip out and require a trip to the Nissan dealer where they will require you to sacrifice your first born just to get the 1 screw you messed up

good luck
