You can't delete it b/c of user rights. If you move to a new folder, it will inherit rights of new folder at which point it can be deleted.

If you get an "access denied" message, you can change your access privilege by following the instructions here: forums.techguy.org/windows-xp

I continued to get an error message on the subfolders, so from Properties->Security with my user profile selected, I selected Advanced->Owner->(highlight user)->select 'Replace owner on subcontainer and objects' Box. Click Okay and now you should be able to move the folders to a temporary location for deletion.
