You have to remove the top portion of the dash, after removed you'll see tabs on both sides of the handle. Push them in and pull the handle out.
To remove the door handle from a BMW z4 you will need to have special tool or a hook tool to grab the slider and pull it towards you to release it.
go to the fuse box and grab a needle nose pliers, change out the fuse that is not working

prybar Well first, remove the screw down in the closing handle, the pop off the piece of plastic around the inside door handle, remove the screw from in there, the grab the handle and pull straight up real hard. When removed, disconnect switched and door panel light.
I'm presuming you mean the actual handle you grab. If that's the case, the handle slides over the crank shaft and a "C" shaped spring (actually, it looks just like the Ohm symbol Ω or capital greek letter omega) locks into a notch in the shaft through holes in the handle. What you need to do is remove this spring and then the handle will just pull right off. Something I've found to work is sliding a towel between the handle and the door. It will catch on the points of the spring "Ω" and pull it right off!

It is either worn out , glazed, or there is a fluid leak in the bell-housing , or clutch enclosure.
You must replace the handle, they are made of plastic. For the inner- remove both screws in the door panel[in the grab handle] remove the trim from the door handle. Remove window crank and with proper tool remove door panel. Tool is cheap. With panel off, there will be one rivet holding old door handle in place. Drill out rivet [ 3/16 ] and slide whole door handle assembly forward. Carefully remove door and lock rods and reverse the process to assemble. Outer- One bolt is behind door panel and the other is on the outside edge of the door right behind the handle. Simply remove bolts, remove handle and swap door lock into new handle and replace.
remove the screws usually behind the door handle, also remove the cover tabs on the door grab on the panel and then remove the speaker grill and remove the three or four screws around the speaker not the ones holding the speaker in place.
