Insert the application straw of a wd-40 spray can as far as possible between the grip and the handlebar and spray away! Repeat several times around the diameter of the bar, twisting the grip with your hand to work the WD around to dissolve the glue. Yes, the backspray will be messy so a shop rag wrapped around the area will help. 3-5 minutes soaking time and the grip can be worked off!
You have to remove the endcaps from the handlebar, this is done by loosening the screw on the end of the endcap. The grips will not come off easily, you must pull hard on them in most cases.

sorry for my bad inglish,first to all the Honda magna use a 7/8 handlebars and the OEM grips are 5"5/16 long iam using an aftermarcket grips on my 1985 magna so if you find a 7/8 hole grips that grips are your new ones ...lunaluna305 from Costa Rica
Remove the magazine and you'll see little spring type clips inside the grips. Just turn them out of the way with something and grips will come off. Ray
