There should be a ratchet tool inside the middle compartment between the drivers and passenger seat. If it'sa not there, you'll need to get a replacement. Using that ratchet tool, you unscrew four bolts. Two are VERTICLE ones on the front of the top, located about 4-6 inches from the left and right front corners of the top. You'll see two 1/2" diameter holes in the black plastic liner. Stick the tool in each of these and unscrew, counter-clockwise. Keep unscrewing for quite awhile. The bolts are designed to not come out, so it's sometimes a little hard to tell if you've unscrewed enough. I usually do about 10-12 full turns to be sure. That does it for the front. Then there are two similar bolts on the back of the top. They are HORIZONTAL. The bolt heads face toward the front of the car. DO NOT unsrew the four bolts that face down. They are similar, but aren't used in removing the top. The two bolts to unscrew are located about 4-6 inches from the left and right corners of the back of the top. Unscrew them. They will not come all the way out, but if you do about 10-12 complete turns, that should be enoiugh. Now climb out of the car and, holding the front of the top in the center, lift the FRONT of the top up a few inches (if it doesn't come up, you haven't unscrewed the front bolts enough). Now slide the top forward about an inch or so and grasp the back edge of the top in the center. You should now be able to lift off the top. It weighs about 30 lbs, I'd say, so get help if you're not capable of holding that much weight at chest height. It's kind of awkward. There are storage brackets in the back of the car. Two are behind the seat on the outer edges. You put the BACK (square) corners of the top in those slots and the front of the top snaps into the front of the hatchback latch mechanism. This sounds complicated, but once you've done it a few times, it's a breeze. Make sure you take the top off when it's nice out. You'll enjoy your Corvette a lot more than if you leave the top on.
