To replace the headlight assembly on a 2006 Jetta, remove the front grill. Then remove the headlight assembly by taking off the screws that secure it in place. Replace with new.Ê
To remove the headlight housing (question is kind of vague, I have to assume this is what is being asked): Open hood & remove center grill. There are two bolts on each headlight housing on the inside, you will find them just behind where the grill was. Remove the two on the headlight housing you are trying to remove. Remove side marker light on the side you are removing the headlight from. You will find two nuts holding the headlight housing to the frame, remove them. Housing is now unbolted and can be slid out/off of the car.

LS headlights are easy to remove. I have had mine off a number of times to dry them with a blow dryer after condensation formed. Remove the radiator shroud (pop-clips) Remove the screws that hold the headlight assembly to the radiator support (two?) Tilt the assembly forward enough to remove the low and high beam bulbs (twist locks) Lift the headlight assembly away from the car
