you have to remove the turn signal light and some of the trim (grill) to get to the screws that hold the light assembly in place. 10 minute job.
Remove negative cable hold brake for 30 seconds- engine light will go out
you have to remove the 2 screws that hold that navigation system right above the naviagation system there are 2 covers remove them and unscrew the display unhook the wires and use a spatula go around the edges of the display to remove it, push the clock out and u will see how to change the light
It can mean several things if the hold light flashes on your Mazda Familia 1997 model. It can indicate a shortage in the wiring or a blown fuse.
The HOLD light means you have an electrical problem with your transmission. See your mechanic ASAP.

Remove the decorative cover from the face of the clock. Remove the retaining screws from the clock. The light will be in the back of the clock. Push the light in and turn at the same time to remove the light. Reverse the process to install the new light.
The hold light is a warning indicator. Essentially, the flashing indicates that there is an electrical problem with the transmission.

there is a button on either your gear shifter or your turn signal that says hold. press and release and the light will go off. According to the 1991 Mazda MPV manual, the flashing indicates that there is an electrical problem with the transmission.
