Remove hub cap and the snap ring that holds the splinen cap in place.
Remove the hub cap if equipped. Remove the snap ring holding the lock out hub (regular pliers will work). Pull old lock out hub off. It is sometimes necessary to carefully tap around the hub while pulling it. Insert replacement hub. Replace snap ring and hub cap.
Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the brake assembly and rotor. Remove the axle end cap. The rear hub assembly will come off.
Try using your lug wrench
The hub caps are held on with the lug nut covers, these are plastic, and screw on the lug bolts if you use the lug wrench you can loosen the plastic hub cap lug bolts and be able to remove the hub cap without loosening the lug bolts. 2001 L200's have lug bolts rather than lug nuts.

I own a 2002 kia sportage I installed warn hubs on it . It is very easy on the 2002 you dont even have to remove the wheels . remove the center cap off of the wheel,then remove the bolts on the old hub remove old hub replace with new hub tighten bolts your done but the center cap will not fit.
Audi's don't use hub caps. The wheel is one big piece.

If you are asking about the center "Hub-Cap" on the stock wheels, and of their removal, you have to remove the wheel from the car first. On the inside of the wheel, there are I think three 5/16" head screws that screw through the wheel into the plastic hub cap. Once you remove these screws, the cap is free from securement and will simply fall off.

Remove hub cap, remove axle nut, raise and support front of vehicle, remove wheel, remove brake caliper and brake pads, remove caliper bracket, remove brake rotor, remove the three 15mm hex head bolts holding hub assembly to knuckle, remove hub assembly by tapping flange with a bfh. Reverse for assembly.
