2 torix screws in the handle wells, then pull, it is clipped into holes if you do this carefully the clips will not break

First you need to remove the trim bezel around the handle on the outside of the tailgate. Then remove the three bolts on the inside of the tailgate,that hold the handle in place. Next remove the latching mechanism rods from the handle,and remove the handle from the tailgate.
Remove the liftgate inner trim panel.Remove the liftgate inner trim panel.
You have to remove the the tailgate trim to access the bulb.
Just take it to a shop. Nobody gives a sh*t.
Need to remove the tailgate inner trim panel on hatch and estate car.The lamp is held on by two clips (estate)or two screws(hatch)the wiring needs a couple of ties undoing to remove the lamp.
remove the inner door panel, you can access the bolts from the inside of the door.
Strip off all the inner trim of the tailgate. undo all wiring clips and remove as much of the wiring loom as possible. Then tape all plugs tightly to the wiring loom and pull the remaining loom bacwards through the tailgate at th point where it enters from the body of the car. Then unclip the air struts by removing the spring clips from the ball joint of the strut and pulling them off (tailgate has nothing holding it open now so use a broom or piece of wood to jam it open before doing so). remove the pins from the hinges or unbolt the hinge from the tailgate depending on how it is fitted. It helps if 2 people are doing the job.
The basic piece is the same but there will be different trim pieces attached that you will need to remove.
Try eBay and look for "Bumper Trim" . I bought mine from Greenfield Dodge on eBay
You'll have to go around it with a trim puller first. You should be able to find one for $10 - $15 at any auto parts store.
Remove inner boot trim,locate solenoid pin,and pull back.
