In the Datsun trucks first you remove the plastic around the steering column four screws in the bottom of it and a clip ring behind the steering wheel. next reach behind the dash from underneath and unscrew the speedometer cable then unplug the wire cluster from the back of the instrument cluster. now unscrew the cigarette lighter housing from the back side of the dash by reaching under and around. now there are two little screws on the plastic nobs on your heater unit you can get to those from the bottom of the nobs. now remove the three screws in the top of each of the instrument holes and gently finagle the instrument panel out
The switch is to the left of the instrument panel below the wiper switch. To get to it you must remove the panel surrounding it.
Remove all the screws you can see. I won't get into what ones cause if you can't figure that out you need help! lol Reach behind the panel and remove the wire clip and pull the speedo cable out. It takes some force but it will go.
