how do I remove the key switch from a 1998 Ford Contour
You have to remove the plastic trim around the steering column (behind the steering wheel). Put the key in the ignition cylinder and turn one click. There is a small hole on the side of the ignition cylinder, stick a small screwdriver into this hole and press hard. Pull out the ignition cylinder with the key.
