use a very long flat head screw driver with a hammer and a pair of plyers
Look at the lower or rear of radiator
It is in the lower radiator hose
It's located on the engine side of the radiator. Lower passenger side. You have to get under the car to access it though. You can't see it from the top.
If it does not have a drain plug, just simply remove the lower radiator hose.
Check on the engine side of the radiator, one of the two lower corners. It can be hard to see and get at. Mine was a small plastic flat blade, sort of like a key.
Look closely at the radiator. Check the bottom corner of the radiator that is opposite of the lower radiator hose. If there is no drain plug or petcock, then the coolant will need to be drained by removing the lower radiator hose.

To drain the radiator, remove the lower radiator hose. The engine should be cold and the water fill cap removed for venting. Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses and transmission lines from the radiator. Remove the fan shroud and the upper and lower bolts. Raise the radiator up and out.
In order to drain the radiator on a 2004 Pontiac GTO it is necessary to pull the lower radiator hose off. There is not a separate drain plug on this radiator.
First make sure the radiator is full of coolant ;this is where the heat comes from. If it is full , then change your cars thermostat. The stat is located at the lower end of the top radiator hose within the water outlet. That should do it.
