Hi There, If the filler cap is designed like a medicine bottle and says 'click' on the top, I think you are supposed to push down and then turn. I had problems with this too. I don't see why Ford needed to make something so simple this complicated. Anyway, I discovered that you need to turn it in the opposite direction to conventional screws. Instead of 'left loose, right tight' the Mondeo's filler caps work 'right loose, left tight'. Hope this helps, Martin

∙ 13y agoTwist anti-clockwise and lift. Will it not turn? Is the picture of an oil-can the right way up? If the picture is upside-down, then someone has forced the cap on the wrong way 'round and you are just going to have to force it back off again...
