If you have AWD you are in luck! Get a new rubber gasket fcrom dealer...

Drain oil & remove filter. There are many bolts to the engine block and several to the tranny. All comes out relatively easy if you have a lift.

You are in BAD LUCK if you have 2WD ! ! !

The front axle cross member will not allow the pan to pull free of the oil pump.

Don't know for sure but I suspect that the front axle must be dropped. There is little clearance to lift the engine and little visability to determine if something will be crushed during lifting.

Regardless, this is a HUGE JOB left to competent auto mechanics.

Best of luck!

WRONG!!!! Actually the 2 wheel drive is the easier one to do, on the AWD you need to drop the cross member down. The oil pump is located on the rear part of the pan and there is nothing in the way from that part of the pan. You DO NOT NEED TO RAISE THE ENGINE OR DROP ANYTHING ON THE 2 WHEEL DRIVE. Remember to undo the bolts from the back of the pan to the transmission. It took me 4 hours on a 2 wheel drive with the front end raised up by having the front tires on ramps. Now if you had a 95 or earlier model the job would be a PITA.
