You remove it the same way that it got on, with heat. Try using an iron on medium temperature and a dry towel. It should heat the glue and make it soft so that you can either peel or gently scrape/lift the photos from the board.
I use yellow carpenter's glue for that.
Use a glue gun. The glue will peel off fairly easily when you are ready to remove it.
