What is a pop a lock bar? Do you mean a club on the steering wheel?
To remove the tailgate lock on a 1989 S-10 Blazer, first remove the cover over the inside of the tailgate by removing the bolts on the side and on the handle. Pop the vinyl away from the tailgate. Then remove the bolts holding the lock on and remove the lock.
Undo the rivet under the lock, pop the black clip out and the lock slides out.
You'd have to remove the trim from the door. The lock tumbler is typically held in by some sort of clip... you remove that, and the lock tumbler should pop right out.
lock has to either opened with a key or picked to open position, then as turning clockwise to lock push up on the back side locking bar and then remove, continue tuning cw to remove lock cylinder. Unbolt the large lock nut and washer on the cylinder case to remove from glove compartment itself. Assemble in reverse order.
Pop door panel to get access to clip behind it.
With a 35mm socket and breaker bar.
Pop the door panels. The lock cylinders are just held on with clips.
Remove valve cover, 2 wires from injector, the fuel line coming from the fuel rail to injector, the lock nut on the head where you just removed the fuel line from, put a nut on injector tube and use a pry bar to pop out the tube, remove the rocker arms (do not mess with adjusting screws) only take out center bolts 10mm, remove 2 8mm hold down bolts on injector, put pry bar under injector hold down and pop intector out. Follow these instructions in order
On the inside depending of the age of the door. Some you have to take the inside handle off, and the tumbler is held on with 2 bolts. Some with a solid locking bar have the inside latch above the lock bar. This has 2 or 4 screws holding it on depending of model. Under this should be a small plate with 2 bolts holding the lock in. If the lock tumbler is in the handle the whole handle is changed.
remove the screw in the inside handle then pop out the plastic piece and remove the screw inside there (big torx bit) remove any other visible screws and pop off the panels retainer clips, disconnect the power lock and window wires.
the whole door panel has to be removed, (pop the plastic behind the handle and remove the screw, pop the lock lever and remove the screw, and pop the window control handles off and pull up on the door panel) then on the back of the door panel there is a bunch of tabs bent down to hold the grill on, unbend them and the speaker grill will ease its way out.
Remove the large plastic screws around the back, and inside the locked storage area, plus, the ledge at the bottom of the lock (bar) and the small screws on top.
