The panel that goes over the speaker can pop off, but its pretty hard to do without breaking the clips that hold it in. I changed the speakers in mine and ended up just breaking the panels off. The speakers i put in are visible but it works fine.
You need to remove the Interior door panel. From there you can gain access to the speaker and replace it as needed.
