There is a release lever located at the base of each support leg at the rear of the seat. You have to pull both release levers up at the same time, then tilt the seat forward. This will release the latches that hold the seat in place. While holding the seat tilted forward, you have to then lift the entire seat straight up and out of the front two mounting holes. I have found that the easiest way to do this procedure is kneeling on the floor directly behind the seat, with the seat back folded forward.
To remove the rear seat on my 91 535i you have grab under the seat about half way and then pull straight up. Hope this helps you out
Grasp rear SEAT CUSHION, force toward rear of vehicle then pull up. Do both right and left sides of seat. Seat belt anchor volts will be visable. SEAT BACK unbolts at the bottom.
under the rear seat
No it won't. The 2 engines have different bolt patterns on the rear. It's possible the dowel pins will line up, but several of the bolts don't. Sorry! Mike Bell
Autozone worked very well for me on my 91' Aerostar 3.0 .
Looking from the balancer to the rear of the engine it is at the front of the dist on the right.
In the fuel tank.
Very easy once you know how to do it. Take a flat screw driver and slide it under the front of the rear seat at about 1/4 of the way across the seat. There is a clip the that you can push in and lift that side of the seat up. Then go about 3/4 of the way across the seat and do the same. There are only 2 clips that hold the seat in. Hope this helps. B.A.B.
shoot it
no its where the bottom of the back seat is its not hard to take out
You need to remove the front and rear seats. Remove the console, various interior panels and the door sill plates. Pull out the carpet.
the fuel pump is under neath the rear seat. you will have to pull the front of the seat up and then slide it forward. there you will see the harness going to the fuel pump..
