If it's like the earlier Skylarks (before the re-design in '96), you have to take the back seat out, which is a royal pain. What I did when I changed mine is crawl into the trunk with some pliers and unscrew the screws upwards and remove the speakers that way. I used #10 screws and locknuts to put new ones in and it worked. I sure would like to know who designs these things.

If you follow the hose from the drivers side of the radiator, it will lead you up to the end of the thermostat housing. It is under the air cleaner. There is a lot of stuff you need to remove to get to it. Good luck.
