I have a 1987 190e, and it takes 4 inch speakers in the dash and 4 inch speakers in the rear deck. I have heard you can fit larger speakers in the rear deck, but you'll need to do a little cutting to make them fit. Edit-4" front dash, 6 1/2" rear deck, 4" mid-bass in front doors w/amp in trunk

You have to remove the rear seats to be able to remove the rear side panels. Then you have to disconnect the wires to the speaker, unscrew the speaker, then reinstall the new one.

Begin by removing the cover from your rear speakers. Remove the rear speaker retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the speaker. The rear speakers will come out.
Remove the cover from your 2001 Kia rear speakers. Remove the rear speaker retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the speakers. Reverse the process to install the new rear speakers.
