Hi,
Removal of the rear speakers on a 1993 Taurus is very simple and straight-forward.
First remove the speaker grilles. The grill comes off much like a slide-out cell phone battery cover would. Each end of the grille has a lip which is tucked underneath the deck lid. Gently push or lift the grill out, being careful not to bend it. (If you do it's okay, they can be easily bent back into shape). With the grill removed you'll be able to see the speakers which are screwed in with 4 screws. Remove the four screws and unclip the speaker harness and the speaker will come right out.
Speaker size should be 6X8" and you can pick up an adapter from Crutchfield which allows you to connect your new speakers to the factory wiring without any splicing. The whole job shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
Remove the mesh grille from the speakers, they just pop out. The screws holding the speakers in will then be exposed. Remove these screws and take speakers out.
It is easiest removed from the top.
In order to remove the screws that secure the rear speakers, you need a 7/32" socket and socket wrench. The wiring harness I have yet to figure out how to remove from the backs of the speakers lol.
There is no specific information pertaining to a 1993 Ford Taurus's towing capacity. However, the Ford Taurus in general can tow about 2,000 pounds.
The speakers in the front door of a 96 Ford Taurus are 6 inches x 8 inches. The speakers in the rear deck aer also 6 inches x 8 inches.

In a 2005 Taurus/Sable, all 4 speakers are 6x8's. not 6x9's or 6.5's
I believe that the back speakers are 6x9, but the fronts are 6x8.
The front speakers in a 1997 Ford Taurus measure 6 inches by 8 inches and are located in the front doors. The rear speakers are located in the rear doors and measure 6 inches by 8 inches.
