You then have to cut the cords and the gasket will fall to the ground. And the rest is pretty simple.

Subject: Sportster 1200 rear rocker coverQuestionI've replaced my front rocker cover gaskets due to an oil leak. Now I can't get the rear rocker cover off. I've removed the top bolts but the frame is blocking the removal of the cover. Is there an easy way to remove the covers?AnswerSorry I didnt answer you sooner. My hard drive decided to go south! The rocker cover will come off without removing the motor. Its a tight fit and you have to turn it to get it out, but it will come out.
