How do you remove the front rotors on a 2007 Acura TL?

Hello, Removing the front rotors on an Acura TL is clockwork. Here is a quick how-to guide: 1. Raise and safely support the vehicle. 2. Remove the front wheels. 3. Remove the brake hose mounting bracket. 4. Remove the brake caliper bracket mounting bolts, and remove the caliper assembly from the knuckle. 5. Remove the rotor retaining screws. 6. Remove the brake rotor by pulling it straight off the wheel mounting studs or if seized in place, remove the stubborn brake rotor by threading in two 8 x 1.25mm bolts, two turns at a time until the brake rotor is released. Good luck with your brake job!

What would cause the emergency brake on a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse to get stuck in the on position and would it be easy to fix?

it could be a seized caliper piston, in cold weather it could be frozen, or the cable is seized up, depending on whats wrong it should be fairly simple, unless its a seized caliper piston, that may be a little hard it could be a seized caliper piston, in cold weather it could be frozen, or the cable is seized up, depending on whats wrong it should be fairly simple, unless its a seized caliper piston, that may be a little hard

What if the piston will not go back on brake caliper?

it needs to be taken apart and cleaned if possible if not you have to replace the entire caliper it is most likely seized in rust

Do you have to loosen the bleeder before you push the piston back?

In most cases, no, however if you are having issues getting the piston into the caliper, it may be seized, or it may be a turn in caliper.

Right rear tire not turning?

Very good change the brake caliper is seized up on that wheel

How to fix Seized rear vw brake caliper?

If the caliper is sticking or leaking it is possible to buy a rebuild kit and replace all parts that are worn inside. If the caliper has a cracked or broken housing then the unit can not be repaired and must be replaced.

How do you know if a 1992 Chrysler LeBaron brake caliper is bad?

How can you tell if your front brake Caliper is frozen?

"Whichever caliper is frozen, I take it you mean seized, then the steering will pull in the opposite direction, so if the drivers side front caliper is seized, the steering will pull to the left, that is the passenger side front." The answer above is not necessarelly true. I've seen many seized calipers which don't pull the car to one side or the other. The EASIEST WAY to tell if your caliper is seized is by jacking up the car , put it in neutral andwhen the wheel is on the air and start turning it by hand. If the wheel turns easily then the caliper is probabbly not seized, if it's hard tu turn then the calipers are most likely seized. I suppose then to prove the case above using as simple a method as possible is to select a road without traffic flow, then using a brake hose clamp, clamp off one of the front hoses to prevent hydraulic pressure reaching the caliper, by this method one will know the brake cannot work, then drive the car at a reaonable speed in a straight line, holding the steering wheel with both hands and then firmly apply the brake pedal. The steering wheel will turn on the opposite direction, try it and then we can conclude the issue. my 1993 Chevy p/u 4.3engine driver side caliper is seized i removed the tire and found that the brake pads were worn down to almost the riviets. Need to know how toremove and repair calpier?

Why Honda accord 1997 car is pulling sideways when brake is applied Tie rod upper arms and brake pads were replaced Also wheel alignment was done yet the problem persists what can be the cause?

The brake caliper on the opposite side is seized Example, if it pulls to the left, then the right side caliper is seized and must be replaced.

Why brake pads wearing out on one side of car quicker?

You need to check for caliper slide.....if the caliper does not slide evenly, the wear will be uneven. If your slide bolts are gummed up, rusty or seized, you will get uneven brake wear.
