change plug wires on 1998 isuzu hombre 2.2
There are two plug wires under the plastic cover on top of the cylinder head. Also under there are two coils. The coils each fire two cylinders & fire directly into two of the cylinders that they are over. If you remove the bolts that hold the coils on & remove them you will see a long boot the goes down to the sparkplug under the coil. The plug wire goes to the other sparkplug that coil fires.
Disconnect the battery, remove the cables and boot covers, and remove the old spark plugs. Next, properly dispose of the spark plug, put in the new spark plug, attach the boot cover and wires, and connect the battery.
To remove and replace the spark plugs in a 1998 Toyota Camry LE V6, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, locate the spark plug wires, carefully remove them from the spark plugs, and use a spark plug socket and ratchet to unscrew each plug. Inspect the old plugs for wear, then apply anti-seize compound to the threads of the new plugs before installing them hand-tight, followed by a final tightening with the socket. Reconnect the spark plug wires and the negative battery cable to complete the process.
To replace the spark plug wires on a 1998 S-10, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the old wires one at a time, starting with the distributor cap or ignition coil, and then from the spark plugs to avoid mixing them up. Install the new wires by pushing them firmly onto the spark plugs and the ignition components, ensuring they are in the correct firing order. Finally, reconnect the negative battery terminal and start the engine to check for proper operation.
