using a heat gun is the best approach. you need to warm the adhesive to allow it to be pulled off. dont get it too hot to burn the paint though. razor blades are not recommended as they will damage the paint. use your fingernail to get a corner pulled up while the decal/number is hot then slowly pull as you go applying heat to keep the adhesive warm.
This may sound a little nuts but here we go: I peel them off with a heat gun just enough to soften them. I then get good old gas on a rag and that gets the glue that's left (for what gas cost it might as well have other use).

If you look on the left side of the front cover, than you should c a sticker that has the barcode on it it is all the numbers and letters on that. Also if there is no stick on the front cover then look in the back of the book wer u find the date it will say it there 2.

Remove the RAM stick from the motherboard and then desolder it from the PCB. But after dont put the RAM stick back in, unless you wanna break your computer.
