It all depends on what the sticky residue is....

First you can try some white vinegar, put some straight on to a cotton cloth and dab the area until it is wet then wait a minute or two and begin lightly scrubing it..

Vinegar is an extreemly mild acid and is safe on most anything but use only white vinegar because it wont stain cloth seats, carpet ect in your car.

If that fails you may want to try a stronger cleaner which you can purchase from any auto parts store Armour-All makes several products that are safe for your cars interior..

Why is my 1995 Saturn leaking coolant inside of my car which causes it to over heat why is that?

It could be that you have a leaking heater core, which resides inside your car. Another give-away for a leaking core would be a sweet smell inside the car and/or a sticky residue on the inside of your windshield.

How do you remove sticky tape from car doors after removing wind deflectors?

Hi, I would try WD40 first if that fails to work then try a product called "OOPS" you can buy it at most hardware stores or department stores. I got mine at Wal-Mart in the paint department. I've used it to remove glue residue from my car left by stickers. Be careful, OOPS will take paint right off, do not use on painted surfaces.

How do you remove transfers from a car?

They are easier to remove if they are warmed first.Using a hair dryer, on the heat setting, warm the area where the transfer is stuck.Use your nail to pick carefully at the edge or better still, a corner. Don't use metal tools as you may damage the paintwork.Continue to warm the transfer and the sticky backing will soften and the transfer should be easy to peel off. After removal, if there are any traces of sticky residue left, use something like penetrating oil on a soft cloth to wipe over the area and remove the stickyness.Don't use solvents or paint thinners as these are likely to damage the surface of the paint and give you extra work.I have used the hair dryer method to remove transfers and decals from a car.

How do you get fleas out of your car?

If your car is infested with fleas you will likely have to use a flea spray or flea bomb to eliminate all of them. After using the spray you will do a thorough cleaning of the car to remove any of the flea poison residue and air your car out.

How do you get a sticker off your car?

If they are fairly new they will peel right off but older ones might need some heat from a blow dryer or a heat gun, then remove the glue with paint reducer or nail polish remover ( probably the better choice ), you may have to work at it a bit to get it all, I find that gasoline on a rag will get it off as well. Use your fingers to peel up the decals not a blade of any kind. park car with the sun shining on letters, let them heat up. scrape letters off. use a safe slovent to remove residual glue. be aware that if letters have been on for any amount of time, he paint not covered by the letters will have daded and you will still see where the letters were you can usually fix that problem with a cut and polish

How can I remove the advertising stickers a car dealer placed on my car?

Remove the sticker by lightly scraping at it with your finger, the same way that you would remove a sticker from anything else. Do not use a razor blade unless the advertisement is on glass, it will scrape away your clearcoat. Remove the excess glue residue by rubbing the area with Goo-Gone.
