We use sticker all the time when manufacturing custom cut swimwear. Sometimes the glue comes off the sticker or part of the sticker stays behind with little edge area to lift. The best method we have found is too use a little paraffin. Soak a cloth and spot the sticker until wet through. This softens the glue and the paper lifts off easy. A gentle wipe almost always removes the residual glue.

On most cars I have worked with, to remove the rear seat back, you must first remove the rear seat bottom. This is almost always done just by pulling upward on the front edge of the seat bottom. Once that is out, there should be two or four bolts holding the seat back in place along the bottom. After removing those bolts the seat back should slide up and be free.
