Click on the video tab on the toolbar and search for the subtitle option to disable subtitles. However, if the subtitles are "hardsubbed", that is they are part of the video itself, they cannot be disabled.

How do you permanently link subtitles to an avi file?

Import the video file into a video editing program, add the subtitles using separate Title layers and by adjusting the length and time they appear over the video for each instance of speech, then render the video out again. The subtitles will then be part of the video, not a separate setting that can be toggled on or off.

What is the process of subtitle translation?

The subtitle translation process is generally: task division → video source download → audio subtitles or download source language subtitles → subtitle translation → proofreading. Post-production is also required in most cases. If the video does not have reason subtitles (or dubbing scripts), you need to dictate the source language subtitles according to the video, so that it can be translated into the target language later. If the provided source language video has subtitles, the subtitle content can be confirmed according to the subtitle file and prepared into a format that is easy to translate (usually stored in a Word file or other file format). After obtaining the translated and proofreading subtitles, you should select the supported software to add the corresponding target language subtitles according to the subtitle display font, effect and color in the source language video and the target language type. For example, when playing the source language video, the subtitles are turned on by default, and the localized subtitles should also have the conditions to be turned on by default.

Subtitles on YouTube?

Some videos have an option to have them on or off. Look at the bottom of the video for a "CC" button (closed captions). If it's there then try that. Otherwise, the video might have been rendered with the subtitles on it, therefore they cannot be removed, you have to either put up with them or find the same video somewhere else.
