Remove nut from bottom of sump.
if it is what i think it is there is a nut that you put a bolt in that pulls the sump down
ask your Mom, she had sump nut last night.
The sump nut is on the sump or oil pan of your VW. if you jack up your car and climb underneath it from the front you'll see the sump nut on the lowest point of the engine pointing towards the back of the car and slightly down. Don't undo the sump nut/ plug with the engine warm/hot, the oil in the sump will also be hot and can scold you.
Spray it with a penetrating oil leave it for a few hours then try to loosen it, or heat the nut up quickly and try to remove it then.

how to loosen a tight nut
generally the spindle nut needs replacing when you remove the nut. the new nut has a nylon locking ring on it, that is only designed to stay tight one time. once this is removed the nut will not stay tight with a second application The nut is a torque to yield design. After reaching torque specs, the threads have stretched. Reusing the nut will allow the nut to back off, since you can't properly torque it but one time.
Remove the bolts.
A nut is called screw when its head is tightend in component .but in case, tight of nut is not possible without bolt.since screw is tight without nut bolt it is not possible in case of nut.
To change oil.Put a tray under sump. Remove sump plug bolt.Wait for oil to drain into tray. (5 min).Replace sump plug bolt - Not too tight! Not too loose!Fill oil into hole marked oil.Approximately 3 litres to start-depending on car.Check dipstick-dipstick.From Jeff in Oz.
