when you say broken slide, are you talking about the one little plastic slide that in installed in the sunroof cassete , or the slides installed on the sunshade it self, it its the shade your talking about, remove the sunroof glass with the 6 t25 torx bolts holding it in, 3 on each side, remove the glass, now slide the sunshade forwared and from the top inspect the sunshade, if it is faulty, or any guides on the shade it self are bad, then remove the t10 torx screws holding the sunshade in and replace them, however if its the small plastic peace that actually move the sunshade when opening and closing the sunroof, then you will need to replace that also, that is complicated and should be taken to a dealer. hope this helps.
I had difficulties in dealing with the mesh screen and keeping the sun out, when that didn't do the job. I would highly recommend that you look into a product called Zippeeshade, which is a sunroof shade made specifically for the mini cooper as well as clubman and countryman. My wife and I both have one in our minis and they work fantastic. Here is a link, http://zippeeshade.com, hopefully this helps.
To remove Delmar shades from brackets, look for a small tab or lever on the bracket that allows you to release the shade. Gently press or slide the tab to disengage the shade from the bracket. Once the shade is released, carefully lift it out of the brackets.
Use an ordinary lint brush
I am currently an owner of a 2003 Mini Cooper S, fully equip with all the bells and whistles and best of all it has the dual glass sunroof. I live in Viva Las Vegas and with our excruciating 115 degree heat my poor Mini Cooper has a difficult time keeping the cabin cold with the A/C. This is due to the fact that the Mini Cooper's sunroof is only equip with a see through mesh screen, rather than a solid screen, used to cover up the cabin from the sun. I had thought about tinting the sunroof, but many professionals told me not to, since it may shatter due to the tempered glass not being able to accept the window tint's difference in temperature rating. By now I am entirely fed up with my sunroof, so I went online searching for some kind of sunroof sunshade to protect my interior, and luckily I was only able to find a company that produce a good quality sun shade. Visit their website: http://zippeegear.com/documents/products.html I just recently ordered this sunroof shade and it works phenomenally. Forget the window tint, this is definitely the way to go. first retract the shade, remove the three pieces of rear deck trim, should be aprox two screws in each piece. grab the shade on one side or the other and compress it. push the side that pops loose twords the front of car.it's out!! keep in mind taking out is a lot easier then installing.
Remove clothing and dampen skin with cold water or cool clothes. put them in the shade.
Shade is a noun (the shade) and a verb (to shade).
If your lamp shade is a fabric, all you have to do is to wash it in bathtub. If you don't have a bathtub, you can use your large sink. Just put an enough cool water from it, add a mild soap on it and put the lamp shade on your tub and roll it. After a few minutes, drain the water on your tub and refill it with clean water and wash your shade again. If you're that with it, just use your blow dryer to make your shade dry. I hope this is useful for everyone.
