Open the glove box and then look under the dash. You will see a wire witha small screw. Take out the screw and the glove box will fall down. The cabin filter is behind the box.

Access to it is located behind the glove box.
Lower the glove box down remove the plastic cover on the heater box and pull out the cabin filter tray.
In the reverse method of the way you took it out.
Open the glove compartment - remove all the contents. On the sides of the glove box you will see restraints that keep the box from dropping all the way open. release them and allow the box to drop down and out. Behind the glove box you will see a plastic door and frame which houses the cabin air filter. Open and remove and replace the filter.

Remove Philips screw that holds glove box on to little shock absorber thing near passenger side door while glove box is opened. Not firmly pull up on the glove box door and it should pop out it is just clipped in
On a 1994 KZJ78 or KZJ70 the ECU is behind the glove box. Remove the glove box inner and look up.
