To change out the ac compressor on your 1984 Chevy Celebrity: 1. If there is any freon or pressure left in the system you should have a professional empty the system. 2. Remove the hose off of the back of the compressor. Plug the openings to keep dirt out. 3. Loosen the adjusting bolt and slide the compressor over and remove the drive belt. 4. Remove the bolts and the compressor will come out. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the compressor unit.
u have to lift the car up and remove from the bottom of the car. and its held by 4 or 5 bolts 3 in the front and two in the back of the compressor.
3 or 4 ounces.
There's a bolt you need to loosen by the AC pump to loosen/remove the belt. Check www.mx-3.com there's an online manual available.
generally u dont replace clutch as it is more prudent to just get a used compressor from junk yard. you will need a pair of snap ring pliers. 1. remove nut on compressor shaft and remove clutch plate. 2. remove snap ring holding pulley on compressor. 3. use two screwdrivers on opposite sides of pulley to help slide off pulley.
If you only replaced the compressor, 2 to 3 ounces.

One reason why an AC heater fan will not work on a Mazda 3 is that the fan is burned out. It will have to be replaced. However, first check to make sure that you have not simply blown a fuse.
If the system didn't blow a hose and you are only replacing the compressor, I would add 3 ounces of oil to the new compressor through the suction port and turn the comp by hand several revolutions to pump it through.
Recover the freon, R&R the compressor, evacuate the system and recharge, aprox 3 hours assuming the ac unit you speak of is the compressor.
3 or 4 ounces.
