look down see on left and right side 2 plastic covers.
remove them with pry screwdriver
remove 4 bolts.
seat is out.
the rest is obvious.
Open the air cleaner box lid, remove the old, put in the new, put the lid back.
At the back of the engine, looks like a distributor!
It will be somewhere on the shift lever or linkage.

The jack handle goes under the driver's seat two clips the longer end of the jack in the front> The two end pieces point toward the back of the Sidekick.
Hey dude, you did not specify if it is automatic or standard transmission. If it is Manual Transmission, it is located on top of the transmission.
A simple reset will cure whatever ails your Sidekick. To start, remove the battery and SIM card from your Sidekick. From there, flip the Sidekick open and hold the "R" key, then put the battery back in the Sidekick. Do not, however, insert the SIM card yet. At this point, the Sidekick should restart itself. Make sure not to let go of the "R" key until your Sidekick has restarted completely. Once your Sidekick has fully restarted, remove the battery, then re-insert it--along with the SIM card--and turn on your Sidekick. This should restore all your factory settings.
Sometimes using a pair of vise grips will allow you to turn the hubs back into the FREE position.

there are 2 systems. in 1995 , the car was sold with both r12 and r134, different major parts. so are not interchangeable. 95 and back, but 94 and back can be. but 96-98 is a family. and are compatible. hope that helps. http://www.kick-fix.com/air-conditioning.html I am pretty sure it will, I know a '96 sidekick or tracker will fit.
