Sorry, but you are badly mistaken. There are six spark plugs on the V6 Toyota Tacoma.
V6 has been an option for the Tacoma since 1995.
There are 8 spark plugs and coils on the '01 V8 and 6 on the V6; for future reference, the engine type (V-6 or V-8) tells you how many spark plugs and coils are equipped.
You will find the ICM directly below the coils. Just remove the coils and you will be able to remove it. This is on a 1990 Buick Century V6 3300 engine. If you have a different engine I cannot confirm the location.
