How do you remove the complete windshield wiper arm on a 1997 Cavalier?

it's really simple there's just a cap that covers the nut at the bottom of the arm just pry off the cap loosen the nut and here is where u might of had the problem there is a hinge on the arm u have to straighten the hinge to make it easier to pry off the arm, u should be able to pop it off. if it had never been done before u may want to spray it with wd-40 good luck. When i was trying to remove the wiper arm of my 1997 Chevy Cavalier, i found that by pushing down on the arm and pulling up at the base down by the pivot is the easiest. Pushing down on the arm seems to straighten out and better align the base with the pivot which makes it easier to remove. Push down in the middle of the arm, you will notice the whole arm straighten out.
