How do you remove the door from a 1994 GMC Jimmy?

1. Remove the two screws that hold the armrest in place and remove the arm rest. 2. Use a screwdriver to work back the door panel around the window crank so you can locate the metal clip that holds the window crank on. Be carfeul not to damage the door pamel 3. The metal clip looks like a U-shape and rests in two slots on each side of the window crank. Use any type of hook or needle nose pliers to get the clip off. 4. Around the perimeter of the door panel are white tabs that hold the door panel to the door. Pull on the door panel and they will pull out of the door. It is likely that a few of these may break, so you may want to buy more from an auto parts store. 5. Once all the tabs are off lift the door panel off the door. 6. To replace the door panel press the tabs into the door. 7. The easiest way to replace the window crank is to place the metal clip on the crank so it is just about to lock into the slots. Push the crank onto the shaft and then use a screwdriver to press the clip in. 8. Replace the armrest and you are done.
