- Disconnect the battery
- Remove the cover from the door pull
- Remove the Torx bolts that hold the door pull to the door
- Take your door panel removal tool and remove the door panel

∙ 14y agothere's 4 screws at the bottom,2 or 3 on the side,lift it over the door pin,then pop it off slowly and carefully,then undo the bit near the door handle.........hope this helps

∙ 9y agoThe 2003 VW Beetle inside door panel is held in place with two retaining bolts and eight retaining clips. Remove the retaining bolts and pry outward on each retaining clip.
