Removing an engine cover will help a person gain more access to the engine parts. The cover is removed with using a socket wrench to loosen the bolts/nuts in the cover.
Theres small round black caps you need to prise off. Flat head screwdriver will do it. These will reveal several nuts you need to get off with a socket set.
check this out, it's same engine as in Rabbit http://rabbitownersclub.com/vw/showthread.php/engine-plastic-cover-4981.html
To remove the gearbox from a Volkswagen Polo the engine must be hoisted out of the car. Several of the engine components must be removed including the exhaust manifold and clutch lines. The gearbox is held on by several large bolts to the engine.
It is located under the grey engine cover on top of the engine. I have yet to figure out to remove it. VW ensures it is hard to remove, to protect the dealers...
Ask a valid question and I'm sure someone will try to answer it.

To change the headlight bulb on a 2003 VW Polo you must first remove the rubber cover from the back of the bulb. Pull off the connector and loosen the 2 torque screws to allow the black plastic locking to turn. Turn the locking ring counter-clockwise to remove and replace the bulb.
just pressit it pops open
You have to remove engine first. İts easier from under the car. Attach the engine and gearox eachother and lift them to the inside, but be carefull about location, otherwise axles are gonna break...
The ECU is at back of engine bay under windscreen beneath long plasic cover which is in two parts fixed by clips and two screws
