There are two types. One you just take the 4 nuts off of the water pump studs then the 4 bolts that hold the fan to the clutch and the second type that have a big nut holding the clutch to the fan which requires a special tool rentable from some parts stores
If itt the big nut type, a big crescent or pipe wrench will do the job;)
