If the shotgun is in a horizontal position pull straight down on the forward most end of the forestock. It simply snaps in and out of place. The barrel can then be removed from the reciever.
Numrich (Gun Parts Copr.) has some Iver Johnson parts.
I know that if it has a plastic (tenite) forestock it also had a plastic buttstock. Manufactured probably in the 1940's or 50's.
The 410 should have a smaller frame than the 12 gauge. For $100-$150, you should be able to get a whole 410 Champion.

I bought a champion singel shot 410 about 8 years agon for $129. It does not have a serial number on it. The gun is old but I don't know how old. No cracks in the wood.

I have the same question. Did you find an answer?
There needs to be more detail - there are at least four guns you could be talking about and condition of the gun is critical. It could be a Champion Model 36, Champion model 39, or Champion model 39 - Junior, or Excel. Roughly $75 to $300.
It was made by Iver Johnson after their Champion Model for Montgomery Ward
IF IT IS GOOD SHAPE ID SAY $95 TO $110 TOPS. THE 410 IS A GUN THAT THERE IS SO MANY AROUND THE PRICE JUST DOESNT HOLD UP
Remove the barreled receiver from the stock and then remove the screw from the left side of the receiver. The bolt will slide out.
