This is a very hard procedure. You have to options: you can use a hammer, or a chainsaw. Just rip it off with a hammer, or go mad with a chainsaw. Have fun and Good luck!

remove the side markers and then the screws under them, also screws under latch cover in trunk, underside of bumper, behind fender liners.
I wasn't aware there is a 1996 model of Malibu, but on my 1998, the horn is behind the passenger side front fender, between the bumper and wheel. To access it, you must remove the entire front bumper cover.

You must remove the bolts that connect the bumper to the frame from underneath the rear of the truck. Have someone hold the bumper so that it does not fall on you when you remove the bolts.
