Its a pain! because i had to do it. You need to remove the two bolts holding the fuel rail on to start out. You may also want to remove the clamp that holds the fuel return line in place . Next I would recommend trying to remove the air intake duct right above the fuel rail.. it likes to get in the way. after removing this I would carefully un bolt the fuel pressure regulator(careful there is still fuel in the line). Now all you really have to do is use some strength and get the injectors off of the fuel rail and out of the cylinders.. good luck.
Injectors will self bleed when vehicle is "cranking" provided system is working normaly. The pressure regulator will bypass all extra fuel and return to the fuel tank providing constant fuel supply to injector.
Standard fuel pressure for a 91 Pontiac Sunbird is between 50 and 55 PSI. This is the idle pressure to allow for maximum efficiency of the fuel injectors.
( 6 ) fuel injectors
In the fuel tank.
24 gallons
The fuel pump is the same up to 94. The harness should also be the same.
Remove the fuel rail with injectors then separate the injectors. Check related link below:
nope, 4 bolts to remove fuel rail pry up and pull out injectors
4
its a foot away from the fuel injectors
Have to remove the fuel rail's to get to them.
